In 2019, we evolved from a departmental group (formerly chEDC) to a faculty-wide team: the Graduate Engineering Equity Committee (GEEC)! Our goal is to assemble a team of graduate students and postdocs representing each department and school within the Faculty of Engineering at McGill University.

We accept applications for general GEEC membership (event teams member) on a rolling basis throughout the year. You can check out our committee structure page for more insight into membership roles and duties.

All McGill graduate students and postdoctoral fellows within the Faculty of Engineering, including the Schools of Architecture and Urban Planning, are welcome to apply. To express interest in joining the committee, please contact Mary Miedema (Director) at equity.geec@gmail.com with the following information:

1. A brief introduction (your name, department/school, degree program or position)

2. The committee position(s) for which you are applying

3. If applying for a Director or Coordinator position: A max. 250-word statement describing your motivations for joining the committee and any relevant experience
